Practical matters

Jobs example:

• Work through "jobspw2.sas" (available from the handouts page of the class web-site) which provides SAS code and instructions for running hierarchical cluster analyses on the jobs example part-worths (available in the "jobspw2.xls" spreadsheet on the data page). In particular:
  • run an average linkage cluster analysis, including producing a dendogram
  • run Ward's mimimum variance cluster analysis, including producing a dendogram
  • profile the 5-cluster solution and assess significant differences
  • produce a profile plot in Excel
• Profile the 2-cluster solution (to do this you will need to edit the relevant parts of the "jobspw2.sas" code), and send an e-mail to ipardoe at lcbmail.uoregon.edu with the two cluster means for the Eugene part-worth variable for this 2-cluster solution.
