• Pages 105-115 (Chapter 3 - Multiple linear regression - Sections 3.4-3.7) of the textbook.
• Pages 146-159 (Chapter 4 - Model building I - Sections 4.3-4.4) of the textbook.
• Pages 165-173 (Chapter 5 - Model building II - Section 5.1) of the textbook.

Exercises to turn in

• Due by beginning of class on Wednesday, week 9.
• Remember when using SPSS to first change the "Options" (if necessary) to display variable names (in alphabetical order) rather than labels in dialog boxes, to show variable names rather than labels in output tables, and to display small numbers in tables without using scientific notation.

• Exercise 4.7 (page 163) - 8 points,
• Exercise 5.1 (page 196) - 12 points.

• You'll need the HOMES5 and COLLGPA data files.

For problem 4.7 part (e), the hint should refer you to the example on p151 (not p147).
